How is COVID-19 spread ?

COVID-19 is transmissible from person to person via droplets. Droplets are small pieces of saliva which are excreted when a person coughs or sneezes. Droplets normally travel one metre through the air.

The virus is mostly spread through person to person contact such as;

  • Close contact with someone who is infected who sneezes or coughs
  • Touching your mouth or face after touching surfaces which have been contaminates
